EDITORIAL When is Billo's birthday? What gender is Billo? - Tommy Billo won’t tell anyone the exact date of his birthday, but if you go here and get out a calculator, you may be able to figure it out by how many days old he is. Billopan is a boy, and he told me to tell you that he’s very surprised you can’t tell just by looking at him. Pink happens to be a very manly color, you know. - Nathan Nate just doesn't want to admit he doesn't know how to calculate Billopan's birth date. I've been in this guild for about 5 months now, so I feel silly for not knowing the answer to this. But where is Divisor anyway? - vegetarwlz For the most part, Di's a dynamo - but can only keep up that type of energy for so long before real life gets the best of her. I did talk to her on the phone once, last Thanksgiving. - Cat To Nathan: Actually, I hadn’t been aware of any of that, but now that you mention it I’m really scared! *runs and hides* - Nathan Are you *trying* to maintain the Fluffy Bunny title? Chicken. - Cat To the WHOLE council: I’d set up the whole guild on our very own tropical island and have an army of plushie mynci minions serve us day and night. We’d just have to be careful that they didn’t get wet because plushies are never the same after they’re dipped in salt water and plushie myncis get especially cranky about that. - Nathan I'd set us up with a really awesome programmer so we could rival Neopets for coolness. - Miraged Pfft. I make a question that I intend to be difficult, and I end up answering it myself! If that's not karma, I don't know what is. I would steal Nate's army of Plushie mynci minions, leave him on the tropical island, and use them all as mindless spam busting drones. Then maybe the rest of us spam busters would join Nate on his little island! - Jessi I'll go with Jen on that one - though she does an awesome job without a programmer lacky on staff... - Cat To the WHOLE council: A nice hotel! - Nathan A build a boat kit! - Miraged Ooh! A lounge chair! ...wait...is this supposed to help me get off the island somehow? - Jessi A yacht. - Cat Cat! She's pretty useful. AND she's bringin' her yacht! - Havaheart How do you feel about... Mozzerella(sp?) cheese? Cheese seems to be a big thing in TI, so I figured I'd ask. - erinbee091 I feel pretty good about it. I think it’s been a good year for Mozzarella so far. We’ll have to see how things go over the summer, though. You know how cheese gets when it’s too warm! - Nathan String cheese had better come straight from the fridge - it is *not* meant to be stowed away as a snack food and eaten after lugging it all around Disneyland. Yuck. - Cat Have you ever had fresh mozzerella? It's so gross. My mom buys it, and floats around in oil and it's really gross. Leagues away from the kind you put on pizza. - Havaheart Did TNO have any other 'mascots' before Billopan? - erinbee091 One of Di's pets was the original braniac behind the guild, but Billopan thrives on the attention, so he was set up as the figurehead. - Cat To the WHOLE council: Ah, yes, I have. And I’d give you the answer but I’m afraid I was sworn to secrecy. Few people have the discipline to get all the way to the center, and we guard our secret well. - Nathan Lick, Lick, CRUNCH. Always seems to be three for me.... - Miraged Tootsie pops are GROSS! - Jessi Ooh, I did actually try once or twice, but it didn't work very well, so instead I want online and looked it up. Turns out it's 252. - Havaheart To Miraged: I didn't choose the penguins. They chose me. One day they surrounded me and pledged to be my penguiny ninja protectors. I couldn't argue with that, now could I? - Miraged What happened to the Event Staff? Is TNO going to do anything special soon? - Joy The event staff was taking hostage by a group of hostile kacheeks, and transported to Roo Island. We’ve been in negotiations to get them back, but they’re asking a lot, so we may just leave them there. Besides, we hear the weather on Roo Island is nice this time of year. To the WHOLE council: Oh, I hadn’t heard anything about it until I saw one in the trading post the other day. Frankly, the horns and the little fangs scared the heck out of me. I ended up closing the window and going to play Dubloon Disaster for a while. I still shudder at the memory of that evil little grin. What? OH! T-N-O? I thought you said T-M-O, The Mutant Ona. Never mind then! - Nathan Boys...never take anything seriously. I joined because I was just releasing pets I had improved into the pound again, and I didn't like how they often went to people who were quickly frozen or left Neopets. So I searched and searched for adoption guilds, and actually joined another one first before finding TNO. There were a alot more old people here when I joined....and we threw a LOT of peas... - Miraged The only guild I'd ever been an active member of, APP (Adopt Painted Pets), shut down. I pretty much had nothing to do on Neopets and, not quite ready to give it up, I started looking for a new adoption guild. One of the first active, pretty ones I saw was TNO, and BAM! There I went. - Jessi Soooo shallow Jessi - looking for the 'prettiest' guild I was council in another guild for about a year, before things started getting dicey between us (I was the youngest on staff... but all the drama came from the older ones o.0). A friend told me about TNO, I joined, and quickly became attached. - Cat I was adopting pets, handpainting them, and releasing them into the pound...Someone from the guild contacted me-faerieroo it was, actually, and told me about TNO, because I had something in my shop telling how my fosters where and asking for donations. I thought it was a stupid idea-You had to wait longer, and weren't guaranteed success anyways (but I, obviously, got converted on that point), but, for some reason, I offered to let her have my account (havaheart) to foster with. I later got it back, and decided to try TNO out. How those two things happened is a bit fuzzy right now. It was a pretty close-knit group back then. Only a few people were really active, and we still used the guild boards-can you imagine? We were much smaller then and lower tech then. I remember feeling a bit left out-is much as people say it's hard to get noticed in a bigger guild, but I think it's less exclusive, and more interesting and has a wider range of people. Aaandd so that's my long dull story for the day. - Havaheart To the WHOLE council: I joined TI – the cheese made me to it! - Nathan TI. The penguins informed me that I couldn't do elsewise. - Miraged TDW - um...*shakily reads note in front of her* I thought that this team was nice and I would never, ever, ever, ever leave...Heh. (help me!) - Jessi Ha ha...don't worry about her. That's just her little joke. We'll just take her back into our brainwashing room for a little rest. Join? I created TDW. I am also responsible for intimidating people into joining and staying. You should join. Really. Really. - Havaheart I was in TI, but backed out because I was getting way too stressed and taking it out on other people. Plus, back then, we were more concerned about having admins as members of teams, so Di and I both went team-less. - Cat How are the members of the Welcoming Committee, Adoptee Agents, etc. chosen? And what are the special requirements? - penguinlover_11 Other than flight, super speed, and x-ray vision, there are no special requirements. Anyone wanting to get a job in TNO only needs to keep an eye on the Help Wanted thread. When there are new openings, instructions and requirements are posted there. - Nathan They're basically chosen on requirements, but more important than what people say, is what we've seen them doing around the Forums. I, personally, would look at overall attitude... not just the application. - Cat Need more help?
